Welcome to the Leschenault Steelers Online. Hello to all, our season is finally underway. With the first couple of games now out of the way our coaches would still like to make it aware that we are always looking for players to join us on the diamond. This year has seen a different approach taken with the women's competition due to a lack of teams, but even with a mixture of A,B and C grade teams put into the same pool it should be a rather interesting competition. Our Ladies even though struggling with numbers have been bolstered with the inclusion of gun BLUE Lynn Pyke. Coaches Kylie Burton and Jenny Davis are always positive. Our B mens team has quite a few new faces in it this year with Ray Page's young gun sons stepping up to the plate in the Senior competition along with Cleve Armstrong's eldest as well, Good luck boys, belt em outta the park!! With a new coach who is ever enthusiastic I am sure Cleve will whip em into shape. Our A mens side has seen the the return of a few old faces once again to battle the aches n pains, along with a couple of new faces including ex Australian junior Graeme Cooke. With Ray Page as Head coach and Kym Pyke his second in command we should have another good year. Remember if you are keen to try our sport look up our contacts and give us a go!! |
